Country Life, City Life: The J. Crew Catalogue of Thrifting.

City life, a bustling metropolis of businesswomen on the go. Big meetings, short deadlines and faraway out-of-town conferences. What’s a girl to do?

Why, pack up her dreamy, vintage sky blue Samsonite train case, of course!

But when the big city lights shine just a tad too bright, a gal’s just got to get away. May we suggest a leisurely holiday to the countryside…of Japan?

Towering mountains, limitless lakes and a cool and easy breeze makes this country life worth living. Sit back and take it all in.

Oh, all three finds are absolutely amazing! I want all three, especially that book and that amazing 3 dimensional Japanese artwork. Drool worthy!

It was a lucky weekend, Van. I'm actually trying to find more info on the three-dimensional tree bark art. The only marking is a handstamped "Made in Japan" on the back. Have you ever seen anything like it?

I was fortunate enough to find two, sitting on top of a pile of miscellany in a bin marked 50 cents. I love them!

That Samsonite is SO pretty! You might not want to mess with it, but I saw on a blog somewhere where a girl painted big polka-dots on hers. It looked really cute!

Thanks, Amanda. I love that sky blue color. I doublt I'll add anything to it...at least for right now...though I love polka dots! What I am planning to do is use this piece as a cosmetics case. Not for travel, mind you...but for everyday purpose. Is it sad that I own that much makeup? Lol
