Mourning Japan’s Tragedy

View from the Metropolitan Government building.

It broke my heart to hear of the terrible loss Japan has suffered today, especially after just reminiscing so fondly of my time spent there. Such a beautiful country so filled with tradition and honor, home to so many, many wonderful people.

In the wake of one of the most devastating earthquakes in recorded history, please help the people of Japan by making a donation through the American Red Cross.

Please give what you can and keep Japan in your thoughts and prayers.

I've been brainstorming on possible fundraisers for Japan. One silver lining in this tragedy, is that if there's one resourceful-ass country that will bounce back from devastation, it's Japan. They should be proud of how they're handling the situation.

Still, I continue to send them prayers and healing wishes

It's true about Japan's resourceful nature. Also, notice how there's been no mention of rioting or looting? It's interesting that when the panic button is pushed, law and order still prevails over there. Here, I'd imagine we could have a different story.

I, too have been thinking of how to contribute to the cause. Maybe the blog-thrift community would be interested in pooling their efforts? Let me know what you come up with.
