What The Thrift!? An Underground Fight Club!?

Better sit this one out, Granny.

While organizing my collection of vintage photos, I came across evidence of what I believe to be an all-ages underground fight club. And from the looks of things, this sweet ol' lady got the crap kicked out of her by those preschoolers. At least the one in the red skirt helped patch her up with a few bandaids before hopping back into the scuffle.

The moderator is clearly inebriated and letting those girls fight dirty. just look at the blonde lunging at her opponent.

This one photo was found in a thrifted album of otherwise docile men, women and children. But in this particular scene...things got ugly. Which only beg the question...

...What the thrift!?

"What The Thrift" indeed! Hilarious! I'd rather watch that Fight Club than the one from the movie, that said. Except for the granny abusing part. I love that your ad program put an ad for a first aid kit after your post.

Thanks, Eartha. Since I don't like cramming my page with irrelevant ads, I try to maintain an overall theme, lol. I'm so glad someone noticed, ha ha!

With that hideous perm, I'd like the blonde lunge all she wanted at the brunette if I were the moderator. Fashion is pain.

Anyways, great vintage photo!

That's true, Sir. People need to learn the rules of fashion the hard way... Ha ha!

Love your photos! I don't let myself scoop up vintage photos much out of fear that I'd amass more than I could feasibly organize, make art with, and enjoy...at least I can enjoy the ones you share here.

Thought of you at the flea market today when I saw some of the creepiest mannequin heads ever at the flea market. We've got to get a government grant to start our museum of thrifted curiosities one day, damnit!

Oh don't worry, Van. The concern of owning just a little too much does pop in my mind from time to time. And this is why I go through the albums I find and get rid of all the thumb-shots, out of focus shots, etc. Still, I have a lot of really awesome polaroids, ha ha.

Mannequin heads, you say? That is just my cup of tea. We need a museum or gallery. Wah!
